MO: Black gaffer tapes

I'm doing another MO for special gaffer tapes. It's non-residual, non-sticky and anti-slip, the ideal stuff to protect your investments such as the tripod legs, lens hood, base of the camera body, etc. These are special gaffers that are used by many theatre and dance company for taping down equipment cables and dance mat.

The specs are as follows:

2" X 55m in length
black colour

Cost: $34 each

You will be required to wire or pass me the payment once you confirm the order.

I am very interested in the tape but I do not understand how it can be use to protect my photography equipment.
Can you please explain to me how this tapes work, or how to use the tape.

These are non-residual tapes, meaning no matter how long u stick the tape over a surface, it will not leave behind the sticky residue. This make it a good reason for people to buy it for their tripods, camera bodies, lenses hood, even flash units

I still don't quite understand. why would people want to tape up their camera bodys, lens hood, flash units.

Is it that they wanted tape to act as a protective layer over the bodys, lens, flash so as to prevent scratches?
