Pls count me in if you are to oder this Ballhead

quantity: 1

Hey Bro, I am interested, but do you have a rough price for the above ballhead? Also, any links for the ballhead?

definitely interested if price is decent!
please indicate expected price range asap

Interested if price is right

Count me in for 1 unit as well.

The price list based on Phototoolkit's website is S$575 for the ballhead and another S$75 for a generic QR plate. So that's S$650 in Singapore.

The Acratech site in the US retails the ballhead with a quick release clamp at US$ 279.95 and a generic QR plate at US$39.95. No shipping costs are factored.

Just a comparison of prices. Keng Hor, so pls bargain the best price with your HK supplier! ;)

Well, the price is obviously no small beer to most of us. You can check out the details of the ballhead at the HQ website here.

The ballhead is recommended for macro shooters. The versatility lies in the better degree of movement over half of the head. Whenever I use my Kirk BH-3 at very low levels, I find that looking for the slot to tilt the head to 90deg is always cumbersome. The Acratech has the advantage of better play over half the ball head due to its design.

However, at $550+ or so, the price may put many people off. ;p

I'm in the process of confirming the price.
Will keep u guys updated.

sorry but I am a bit of a sua khoo... :(

but how come the ball head does not come with legs? :dunno:

do I have to buy tripod seperately?
if so, what will be a good recomendation?

The high end ball-heads have to be coupled with decent tripods as well, so unless you already have one, be prepared to part with around $1k for the whole setup. Read an earlier review on the Acratech and ArcaSwiss B1 here

A simple answer would be, yes, you need to buy a tripod separately to go with this ball head.

Price of the Ballhead is $520.
For plates, it cost about $70-$100.

So, if u are interested, please list down your name. Add in the plate model if u want to order it as well.

Will provide more details.
But for sure, it is covered by warranty. Same as u get it from US or locally.

also... what type of QR will it have?
the one with the retaining pin? (my preference)
or the basic one without the pin? :dunno:

I have a question regarding the plates.

I take it that the price stated is just for the head itself without any plates. But what I would like to know is whether is the plate that is used to mount your camera included in this price or we would have to pay extra for plates that are made to mount cameras and light lenses as well as plates for individual lenses itself.

sorry guys... bz doing the mo for kenko tc and neglected the thread...

The ballhead should be this this model with the rubber knob .

I'm not really familiar with this ballhead myself. Will try to get more info from the supplier to clear the questions raised by u guys.

The ballhead comes without any plate. U'll have to buy the plates in order to mount your camera / lens to the ballhead.
