In singapore, if cannot complaint, or limit it, then what can we do???
Many interesting places are expensive, and seldom have free places to visit, so most will just pick up the phone or log on to complain abt many things.

Complaining is not unique to just Singaporeans. I hear my foreign friends saying the same thing about their countrymen too.
The following comments are always loudly proclaimed in many countries:
"Our national pasttime is shopping"
" Our national pastime is eating"

What LKY said is a fact.
Sometimes, I go to websites/forums that have political stories or issues, all you see are complaints.
Only a handful actually can argue with substantiated points.
The rest is just mindless chatter.
This negative mindset is very damaging and a viscous cycle.

well, it's not mindless
but it certainly has limited logic in it, and usually focuses on attacking the person and actions outside of what is really the issue, and not his points.
this thread, is actually one example of it.
other instances include the "get out of my elite uncaring face" incident.. where majority of posts made regarding the issue in the singaporean online community involved making fun of her weight, and her mole.

Soaking in negativity, some people fail to perceive feedback from their customers as an opportunity to explore, tweak or fix the issues that lead to the display of dissatisfactions which is also commonly known as complaints.
If feedback is unwarranted, despised and rejected upon by the service provider, why should buyers of such service continue to pay for the perceived bad and sub-standard services?
If buyers don't have a choice or has little alternatives, they will naturally choose to intensify and escalate their complaints or simply look for an alternative supplier.
Should such service providers expect an otherwise reaction from buyers who believe that they are on the short-end of the stick?
