there was no warning signage of tresspassing from the main entrance leading to the hotel in the first place. and yup, i tought of the letters thingy with his name on it, but his name has been appeared all over the news print and internet over the legal tussle few years ago, so i guess it is ok since he was already well-known. thanks for your opinion.

Be careful and don't be too cavalier. Just because there is no sign of trespassing, it doesn't mean that you can enter without permission. The fact that the front gate is locked should tell you something. Most homes don't have the trespassing sign, but I am sure if you go in, they will call the cops on you.

What should happen if someone comes in to take picture and (touch wood) has an accident. Then, who is liable?

Anyway, the place looks pretty scary from your pictures.
