How is the quality as compared to the Sigma 70-300?

So far from the rounds of visits to these shos past month..

100-300APO (non D) - $600++ - AP SLS (1 available) - i might be wrong on price...
28-75 f2.8 - - $580++ - TKPhoto (1 available)
50mm f1.4 (New Box) - $315 - AP Funan (1 available)

All employ Aspherical lens, Anomolous Dispersion glass and All have circular aperture!!!!

Why do u need a 'D' version, since at that zoom level u hardly can use flash to reach.

I actually sold my beloved 70-200EX APO -Sigma because its a little on the heavy side (with the collar)....for my general day to day and travel photos...I love the glass ....very good and sharp.....but mainly because of the weight factor .......i have the tendency to leave it out of my hold-all.....

Well, i decided to downgrade back to a 70-210f4 (100-300f4 FOV).....the old slow focussing glass.....

Anyway....i look at Reno shots and go wow!!! the colors are just great!!!

Ah... just buy one lar...

Optically it is so sharp... at f5.6, my 80-200 f2.8 is just slightly sharper... I am using 70-210 f4 as a backup for my 80-200 f2.8 APO G HS. Outdoor portrait, you will shoot at f5.6 anyway... f4 isn't that bad... considering the price you pay...

Oh by the way... the black 80-200 f2.8 has been sold.
