minolta warranty query

Hi can anyone help me, need to know if the warranty requires a receipt to go with it, cuz I wanna send my cam for servicing but cant find the receipt? thanx!

but i think u do need the warranty card or soemthing..

When I sent in my camera for repair, they only asked for the warranty card which they then kept until the camera was returned.

Was told that base on your serial no they can tell if it is within warranty.

hhmmm serial no. can't be cuz the serial no. could be for a samera that was manufactured say 2 years ago but maybe the shop was so unlucky that it only manage to sell it off now? but I hope no need the receipt!!! thanx for your replies!!

Whay not you just try send in...should not be an issue......What they probably do is .....take the warranty card and fill the date at which you send it in...and start counting 1 yr from the date that they wrote on the card...

There is actually no need to send in the minolta warranty card. it' to be kept by the owner. as for why they want you to find the receipt is because you never fill in the date of purchase in the card...verbally speaking yes, but need to verify also...
