Heard a lot on it... seem like this DSLR might be the thing to give Mino user the power.....

Seriously, fill us in here.
Have heard from a reliable source that Minolta is not keeping its head in the sand for much longer with its much anticipated DSLR.
As I'm not in a position to disclose more on the issue. I just wanted to keep all ye faithful Minolta users here informed that it won't be too long now.
I've been waiting and hoping for a Minolta DSLR for eons and now it just might come true anytime soon.
I don't know the actual specs, but I've heard that the DSLR in question is capable of holding its own against the likes of Nikon and Canon prosumers.
Hand over your film cameras, the new world awaits you.

Can change lens one. I need a good reason to hold on to my G lens and a new Dimage model is not a justifiable reason.
Not a new model for the Dimage 7Hi.
Just chill and wait for the news. Be patient and I'm talking about 1/2 to a year or so.
It just depends when they plan to hold the launch.
Canon has 11Mp and its the 1Ds. Cost: SG$12000++
Nikon's high end D1X is 5MP. Cost: SG$7000++
Well, if you're willing to pay for interchangable back, then you might as well go for Leica or Mamiya medium format digital backs?
Its a matter of dollars and sense here people. Don't expect to get a 11Mp for the price of a D100 or 10D. Not gonna happen!
I second that.
Most people know the history of Minolta for being able to churn out state of the art advancements in camera development. Like all manufacturers, there are bound to be glitches in some of their products, but that has not stopped them from winning countless awards for the cameras that they have been producing.
If you're in the loop, you'll know what I mean.
They're not great, but they ain't that bad either.
All this talk about a Minolta DSLR coming out soon. I'll believe it when I see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still waiting to get my hands on the new SSM lenses, for the last year & a Half and I'm getting tired of waiting!
I'm thinking of buying the Canon 10D body and the New Tamron 28-75 f2.8 'Di' lens. I'll keep my D7 & D9 as I have about 200 rolls of Fuji Velvia, Provia 100 & 400 to use!!
But I think I will eventually built up on the Canon side of things and cut back on the Minolta side if Minolta don't wake up and smell the COFFEE!!
