Minolta Flash HSD3600

Can anyone help to identify my problem with this flash? The low battery indicator light keeps blinking non stop even though I changed to a new set of batteries several times. The flash can be switched off but could not fire on the camera. The flash, although nearly 3 years, was hardly used.

wah...I would suggest you make a trip down to Wisma to let the Sony Service centre ppl take a look...even thou its KM equipment...I gotta say their service had been not bad...

Did you replace with the provision shop battery that are wrap in plastic? I once went for my cousins wedding to take photo and use batteries that ever ready batteries wrap in platice my camera immediately read low battery.

No, I used several sets of brand new battery but it still gave me the low battery blinking light.

Clean the flash battery contact, since you mentioned it's been 3 years now and hardly used. It tend to oxidized after long period of non usage. The contact inside the battery compartment is harder to clean, try using the pencil with rubber eraser at the end to clean it. Another better option is use contact solution cleaner.
