CA means Chromatic Aberrations or purple effect.

it's been discontinued.... anyway, CA is minimal on the Dimage 5, that's what ninelives' trying to imply (I guess) ;p

If that is the case, I will have no doubt to purchase this Dimage5. I have purchase Olympus C730 and the CA is very bad. So now, I intend to change my DC to Dimage5.

So does Dimage5 have any other problem that u know of?

dimage5? you can get other better and latest cameras @ de same price....:D

Why DIMAGE 5?
I hope you're not getting it brand new
as you can get DIMAGE 7i / 7hi with so much improved features & fixed bugs.. with price range around $1550 ~ $1850

My budget is S$1000, so what other DC can I buy if I do not want CA, Zoom at least 5x and at least 3 megapixal?

you mean you'll get Dimage 5 at $1k?
that will be OK price for me..
but mind you.. the D5 is really a power hog as compare to 7 / 7i / 7hi
beside that you might wanna chk out some review 1st..
but D5 CA is very minimal ..

isomers, u have a Dimgae 5 correct?
