Hello Everyone

Like to ask for advise.
Have a Minolta 7Hi for a while, always find that it 'suck' battery very fast.
Read forum and people seem to be talking about DPS9000 Lithium Battery.
This battery can be attach to the camera...

Anyway the battery rating state it to be 7.2V.
Forum peeps say it can be use on the 7Hi with no problem...
But I think the 7Hi requirement stated on the jack is 6V
So question is:
This battery safe to use on Minolta 7Hi camera?

Please help ahh...
Want to solve power problem but also scared that it will 'fry' camera.

Anyway is there other alternative beside DPS9000 battery?

Thank you

I used to have a 7Hi. Yes, it's a real battery sucker. Then I used a DPS9000. Very good stuff, never had any problems.

Yes. the DPS9000 can be used on the 7HI. Have previously use that setup also until now upgrade to Nikon DSLR system. :)

If possible, don't spend much on the 7Hi. Try to save up for a D5D n you got no worry abt battery life span and also, you got much faster focusing speed. Of course, on the down side, you still need to spend on lenses but you get photos with less noise, sharper etc... ;)
