Xerxes and the March of the Ten Thousand eh? The Spartans, led by Leonidas, really got hammered then.. But saved modern democracy as we have it today..

Trying to read Homer's Iliad now.. damn slow read it is... Got a translation of Art of War, but never finished it..

Anything is fair game for me.. from hand axes to clovis points to atlatls to phalanx to muskets to Sopwith Camel to Spitfire to T-34/76 to Linebacker to Ticonderoga to ABL-1 to Tom Clancy to Star Wars.. (Qn: the plug bayonet was invented at Bayone rt?)
