Living up to the name
The Japs really live up to their name. The bus drivers, unlike those elsewhere,
are so professional in every aspect of their work. Even while waiting for passengers,
they will get out of their butt and clean their buses in 40 degrees heat! How's that for professionalism?
I am humbled.

But in fact, most people in Tokyo and Osaka are the most stressed out people on the planet.
But still I love their decors at most places. The vibe is excellent!

Japanese Cabbie
Actually, their cabs comes in many many shades of color.
But you will know that they are cabs just looking at all the stuff sticking out
on the roof and on the dashboard.

Making sure it IS clean
What blows my mind about the Japanese' determination to keep the streets clean,
is that they painted all their earth movers BLACK, so that it makes it easier to monitor them.
Before leaving the construction site, each earth mover is cleaned about 15-25 minutes each.
A very thorough cleaning before hitting the streets. Wow.

The bikes aren't for the poor...usually, at least
To encourage road safety in Japan as according to a friend, the insurance and maintenance of a
motorcycle is raised so much that it is no longer something that one would consider as an economical
form of transport like in Singapore, but rather, they are the toys for the better off boys.
BIkes are hardly seen in large numbers on weekdays, but come weekends, motorcycle "gangs" start
gathering and appearing on good riding courses like mountain trails. Wish I live there.

Don't know why, but the Japs I met all went nuts and were chasing these critters.
They are like the Japanese equivalent to the Chinese crickets I think.
