Micro mesh

Hi,

I scratched the inside of my dome port when setting up my zoom gear %#$#$*

Is there a place in Singapore where I can buy micro-mesh up to 12000 grade. I ordered some online but I need it ASAP so I can fix my port this weekend. The scratches will not come out with novus......grrrrrrrrrr

Is the dome made of Glass or Acrylic ??

As far as I know, you'll have to order the 'mesh' from overseas... there isn't any shop/store that will do the polishing too... :think:

acrylic .......maybe sending the whole dome back to states for repair although I will try and self repair first when micro mesh kit arrives from States.

Someone should retail the kit here......

Sadly... Acrylic Dome aren't really 'polish-able' like the more expensive Glass Dome...

Too much or too little polishing, even too much heat... will ruin the acrylic dome port beyond use permanently...

James, acrylic is the one that can polish away the scratches. Glass don't get scratch easily, but once scratch and that's it. Can't be polished away for glass.
