Do you crop your images? If you crop, it means some of the data has been loss and when you send it to the lab, the printer is unable to detect it, resulting in the date not being able to show on the images. But if your camera is an SLR or with a 3:2 ratio then you won't have this problem.Or you can call us at 65641062, we may able to assist you better.

Yes, the data was cropped to reduce the file size. Original data was in Raw (Nikon NEF). I am certain that the full EXIF was still intact in those JPEG files.

BTW, do you accept NEF format for processing?

Sorry.The fuji frontier only accepts JPEG format. If you give us a raw format, we will still need to convert it to JPEG format, I personally tested a few prints that were converted to JPEG from NEF, without any cropping by using fuji auto date on and date didn't show on the images. I will check with my colleague and hopfully they will be able to help, then will let you know. :cry: :dunno:

There won't be a glossy printing profile, it is actually based on lustre paper and from the computer moniter, supposing what you see is what you get after printing. But before that you need to calibrate your computer moniter to that of our lab's computer monitor.
You can get soft copy from our lab at any time.

Oh I see... Thanks a lot though! Does that mean I have to re-adjust my monitor to suit the lab's monitor for the glossy paper profile?

I guess if your monitor's also calibrated (2.2, 6500k), it should be quite close to mine.

Actually what Kelvyn meant is you'll have to ensure that you're monitor is calibrated. MLCC calibrates their CRT monitors using Eye-One Display 2 (6500K-Median White, Gamma 2.2) for very accurate soft-proofing on the monitor.

STRAIGHTFORWARD instructions on using the profiles are stated here:

This is all you need.

Point to note is that doing the "Proof Color" step only shows you a good simulation of what is the expected output. You'll still have to do the "Convert to Profile" step.

1st step: visit www.drycreekphoto.com & copy the printing profile
2nd step: Save at C drive/winnt/system 32/spool/drive/color
3rd step: Use RGB to edit your images, go to adobe click VIEW - Proof Setup - Custom
4th step: The proof setup window will then appear. Set as the following:

Proof Setup -- 'Custom'
Profile -- 'Miao Laan Colour Lustre' printing profile
Intent --'Perceptual'
Simulate -- Tick all boxes

Finally check the preview and you will be able to see the difference. hope the above will help you out. But most importantly, it is to calibrate your computer moniter to ours.

No there isn't a profile for glossy paper. It isn't as widely-used as the lustre one. You can't use the lustre paper profile for the glossy one reason being different types of paper have different printable gamut. Compare a identical photo but one printed on lustre and one on glossy and you can tell.

From June untill July 05 Miao Laan Colour Ctr will offer all CS for 4r Print at $0.27/pc without any condition, more over every 50 print u get 1pc of 8R free. You do not need to resize your images. We will provide cropping when neccessary,but if you want to resize then much better. And for 5r will be at $0.40/pc, but u need min 20pcs. This is to collaboration with FUJIFILM SINGAPORE to launch this promotion. :bsmilie:
