2 ways of looking at this pic,
1) very tall strobe over the model
2) u darkened the sides of the pic...

just a guess

nice series of shots!!
Doesn't look like strobe to me, you'll need a very tall one... heehee. :D

it is possible to mount a strobe high above the subject. one way is to use a mega boom mounted on a wind-up stand.

the gowns actually belong to PureFlow who loaned it to me for shoots.

the other accessories are all made by doreen the MAU.

saint: when we shooting again??!!

 Wah! Good job Sok Eng!!!
I never see mia look so consistently good in a series before ;)

hmm... that didn't come out the way i meant it. Also wanna say Good Job Mia!! Your posing has improved heaps!!

TRUE TRUE! A lot of time we tend to forget the team because we're blinded by the beauty of the model.

Certainly alot of effort went into the shoot. Kudos to you guys for your passion.

If i could make one comment .. there doesn't seem to be a totally direction or idea in the shoot . I believe if there had been one .. it would have kicked the shots from good to great.

** on a side note , Mia .. i think you look great from straight on. and not many people look good straight on.

Wah sok eng, you're still at it eh? ;)

I really like #2 and #5 for this series especially the lighting in #5.. think some others are interested to know how the lighting is done as well... can someone please throw some light on this?? :)

somehow, #8 looks like one of the poses that is commonly used in the wedding studio shots but still it's a good shot lah..

Good makeup and good model too!

excellent shoot today. very prouductive!

This must qualify as one of the better serious of Mia. :)

Nicely done! :)

Wow, thanks everyone for your comments! That's a lot of response in a very short while. :D

The pictures were presented in the order they were taken. As everyone has said, the credit goes to the whole team. Good model, good MUA. Han How aka Timber as lighting and post-processing person takes over a lot of work so that I can be a comfortable photographer, concentrating on communication with model and getting the shot. Brothers can sometimes be great to have! ;p

Mia, I like 1285 and 1302 too (similar shots so not posted here). Will edit the them on the CD for you. Just email me the rest of the pictures you like. ;)

Eadwine is nearly right. 1 tall strobe over the model, there's another light from the back/right to light the model's back. Then darken the sides of the picture. We don't have a boom yet...

We started with a theme for not-so-typical bridal shoot, but still end up with some standard bridal ones for portfolio.

Thanks for all your nitpicks too. Will note and work on it for the next shoot. :D
