wrong side, you want to be near changi beach club (cranwell road --> andover road intersection) area. that side is way far away from the ferry terminal. you can walk all the way from your side along the coast, to the tree place..
like i told manita, the part where these two roads meet, you will see a boardwalk beside changi beach club carpark entrance. follow it until you see the kelong walk to your left, turn right, and follow, go down staircase, tree right there.
have fun.best to go during highest tide, will get water covering the rocks

I like this one a lot
From your attempts, it think its quite obvious you put in effort in composition, which is a commendable attitude.
The colour balances might be a bit awkward in some, but I'm sure you will improve in them.
I like #29. Compositionally, it is good and since its in black and white, there is no colour balance issues to reduce its impact.
This is nice Manita. I would clone away the boat mast that is interfering with the tree branches.
Very nice. You are starting to put my pictures to shame.
Hi Uncle Albert,
Thanks for the C&C. It was difficult to clone and my cloning was very aweful.... How can my pictures be better than yours? Next time I scared to post ready la... ;p
Hello Uncle Albert, Thanks to you for guiding me through. You are almost there already Manita, really.
is it your intention to give a flat looking picture through bnw conversion?
Hello Uncle Night86mare,
Wow.. you are very fast. I want to learn. What is the meaning of flat looking? Dont understand.
bnw photography is all about tonality.
well, not all about it, but it is especially important, since the shades are all you have, dumping colour.
how did you derive this picture - was it out of cam? if it was initially in colour, what did you do to it? if it was taken with in-cam preset settings, my advice is that to get the most out of monotone pictures, you should avoid this. if it was in colour, whatever method you are using - in my opinion... i fear it does not do the picture justice.
could you post up original colour photo (if not taken in-cam)? perhaps i could illustrate with a few conversions. a picture says a thousand words, so 3 or 4 different bnw versions would express 3000-4000 words.![]()
here are 5 bnw versions of your single color picture.
are they the same? they all involve dumping the color, but each one serves a different mood, purpose. some might be more effective to some people, some might be more effective to less people. what is important is which is effective for you?
i asked before - how did you do your conversion? try to play with channel mixer, etc. work more on the curves. the conversion posted up, i do not like it personally... but if you know why you like it, and you're sure you like it the most... if you are clear on all of these, then that's fine. but what is not desirable is that you are unable to produce something you like, and you settle for something less, because you did not try hard enough.
