Where can we source them locally?

Yes, but it happens only to come in 1.5v Alkaline PX625 batteries, which are sold at Ruby. I've heard of 1.4V alternatives, but not sure where to get them. Incidentally, if you happen to need PX625s, I have two unused ones. Cheers!

I have purchased 675 hearing Aid battery 1.4V from Guardian before. I believe most supermart will stock them. Also spoted them in Mustafa.

The batt size for 675 is smaller than 625 but i see the difference is only the diameter. Thickness look the same or quite close. For cam using 625, I tried using some paper and wrap around in the batt compartment for the 675 to fit. It seems to work. Meter works fine too.

if you really want the alkaline type PX625.. or even hearing aid batteries.. one of the better kept secrets is sim lim tower.. its where people in the electronics industry shop around for components.. so anything to do with electrical stuff you can go there to find.. theres a shop at the basement specialising in batteries.. there have varta px625 alkalines there.. i cant remember the prices.. but its the sort of place even ruby might source their stock from.. as most of these shops are stockists or wholesales as well.

Thank you guys... I'll check them out... I actually would prefer zinc-air hearing aid (1.35V) ones instead of 1.5V alkalyne/silver-oxide ones... Will check those places out :) thanks again!!!!!!!

If anyone is headed to Unicell, I'd recommend being careful and checking that the batteries that you are paying for are exactly what the packaging claims to be. I got a PX27 for a Rollei 35, and gee, was indicated on the packaging that it was a mercury cell. Took it apart at home, and they are LR44s x 4. Its not a one-off btw, I bought 3 PX27s. All the same.
Have not bothered to head down to find out exactly why the hell they would do something like that.

good solution and very reasonable price. Thanks for the heads-up! :)

check with your multimeter. All local PX625 is 1.5V, not 1.35V. Don't believe in the packaging.

Anyone went down to SLT basement to check?

):

Don't bother with SLT. You want the real deal get down to CameraX and he's got some NOS at
$10 a pop. Or buy yourself some MR9 adapters from Japan at US$35 each!

For 675, hearing aid battery, i found at Bishan Junction8 NTUC. $6/pack of 4.
