I don't know why some of you are trying to bash EastGear, when all they are trying to do is provide a better deal from the consumer by price matching and then 'bettering' the price by $1, as well as giving a jewel case AND accepting credit card payment (2% goes back as rewards).

The consumer is allowed to buy from anyone they wish. I'd definately go for the option which has been tried and tested and given the seal of approval by many other Clubsnappers.

eastgear came in and mentioned they will match the lowest price..
kentaroc said that was only price-matching, not offering better than the lowest price..
i agreed with kentaroc..
eastgear then clarified they do better most prices by $1 and throw in free jewel case :thumbsup:

Sorry we don't know what you mean.

There are so many memory card dealers in the market. We won't know for sure what are the "best prices". As far as we know, we have the best prices for most brands of memory cards in stock.

Perhaps you can let us know if you know of any better prices. That is the reason why we ask forum members here to give us an instance of a lower price so that we can match the prices.

If you "can't stand all these price matching", then perhaps you should not visit this forum and compare prices. Just buy from your favourite dealer.

Many forumers here have bought from us and would attest to our quality service and fast warranty processing standards.

You certainly have a choice not to buy from us.

Why offer "competitive" prices only to those who call/email/PM you guys and those who go down to your shop are quoted higher/are offered no free casing than the former groups? If you are sincere in offering low prices, there should be no price discrimination against those who take their time to visit your shop.

Our prices are transparent at our website and at our shop for everyone to see. We do not arbitarily quote higher prices to unaware individuals. We stand by the fact that our prices are low and these prices are accessible to everyone regardless of whether they are regulars or 1st time customers.

If providing discounts is considered price discrimination, then many companies that give member discounts, mail-in rebates & volume discounts are all guilty too.

This discount is only offered to clubsnappers who also take effort to make enquiries and order via PM. Eventually they still have to make the trip to the shop to collect the goods.

I called them this morning to enquire abt the price matching thing. HeY! I can tell u Daniel is a very patient and nice person. He explained the terms and conditions to me even though they are somewhere in the thread and there i was asking him which brand of cards are better and how do u compare them. He actually entertained my questions and gave advice on which is good. What can i say, this is excellent customer service~! and with this price matching scheme, why bother to go somewhere else to get your card when the price is the same and eastgear offers a 1 for 1 exchange~! thats the impt part. Kudos to Eastgear~!

eastgear, u came in and claim you've the lowest price in town.. you mentioned you can match any online quotation.. what kentaroc meant is instead of just matching the lowest quotation he has, you shld instead better the price quotation. otherwise, all other things being equal, what's the incentive of getting from you who matches the price when in the first place he/she already have that price in hand from the other quotation.

to me, if u claim to have the lowest price means we cannot find this price anywhere anymore.. not when somebody already have that low price, then you come in and say you can match that price, and now you have the lowest price... mmm..
