#6. One more for the day

mj-doll.jpg

i like the composition

i like the idea of desaturated/washed-out colours to give a certain 'mood'..but somehow something is not right abt the colours in this one

but i still enjoy it :)

mojito10, Stereobox: good morning folks, thanks for your comments! Do appreciate it :D

er...the last pics quite freaky...like the movie 'chucky' (correct spelling? )
yet still a good shot...nice composition

Believe it or not, this doll costs a few hundred bucks and there is a huge following for this. Our friend has a small collection. Imagine all these dolls staring at you at night...

yah, i saw a couple of them on S.H.E.'s album cover

I like the color, esp #5...only the objects are lid....did you use any filter or PS to achieve that?

Thanks Kahuna :) If you're talking about the lighting, it's a mix of flash plus some slight touch-up through PS :)

#7. Posted this pic before. 2 years ago this day, my wife and I were in Queenstown, New Zealand, celebrating our honeymoon. :)

Hi Stereobox, I have the same feeling about the colours - the colours clash.

I've reworked the photo - hopefully the colour mix is more palatable this time. Really do appreciate your feedback!

nice composition for the sea bird shot...
but i find it a bit too bright on the birds' back...or maybe my monitor got problem?;p

Thanks Choo!

It was indeed very bright - noon sun. Sacrificed that in order to get proper exposure for the rest of the pic. :)

#9. We reached home today to see a pack of monkeys along our driveway. A year ago, we would have ignored them, but these days they are quite a rare sight. We rushed upstairs, grabbed our gear and came down, only to find that the group had disappeared. This was one of the stragglers.

i have a secret fascination with monkeys who 'live among us' (i used to see some of them around my area too) and this one somehow struck a chord in my heart.

i really like this one.

 thanks for sharing!

sorry for the late reply. haven't really got time lately to check on other people's PAD project except our own

if you are asking if the colours are more 'pleasing' than the old one, i would say they don't appear to be as distracting as before. though a little over subdued and muted. (i'm sorry i can't explain more 'properly' in color theory terms)

if it works for you, then good for you :) i would very much like to see what melnjes has to say with 'colours'.
