[Meister] MACRO shots w/ reverse lens

Hello there, I want to share my recent macro shots taken with D90 and a reverse 18-55 kit lens... Previously I was using 50mm f/1.8D lens + raynox DCR-250 but could not get the magnification I want. Reverse lens can provide more magnification especially if you use shorter focal length but the focus distance also becomes shorter...
Any C&C are most welcome.. Enjoy and thanks for viewing....

Thanks meisterSG (y r from SG? :)) for sharing, very nice and impressive. I am amateur and wonder whether I could get the similar performance when do combination of reverse mount + 18-105VR lens for D80?

(Anyone has idea about the price of reverse mount?). Tks

Thank you that you find my photos impressive... I had never tried using 18-105 lens on reverse... You must look for a reverse mount adapter for 67mm..

Hi meisterSG,

Nice shot and good budget Macro lens....hahaha

I had a 18-105mm lens. Do we just need a simple Macro Reverse Adaptor Ring like the one in the below link?

Just curious do you protect the other side of the lens expose to the outside when reverse? Do we have the UV filter for the Nikon mount for the other end? Just wondering.

Regards

were u buy your ring? if your using any ring? pls idea?

Thanks Paradigm812... Yes, you only need that reverse ring adapter. I do not put anything at the exposed end of the lens but once I reverse my 18-55 lens, I never use it in other purpose (reversing it back to normal). Now I have a dedicated macro reverse lens... hahaha

I bought it online... you can search in ebay...
