And Mobile TV?? Yes, it does entertain, but I rather they dun have anything on the bus.
Can hardly hear a thing with those noisy bus engine on the background.

Early morning, with CNA, still acceptable.
But during evening, after a tired day at work, trying to take a nap or relax, it is just irritating. especially those fashion shows programme with loud music. Driving me crazy.

SMRT already states that TV mobile was fully paid for by Mediacorp.

Why can't they even spend a fraction of this improving the quality of their programmes?

Can someone tell me why local Chinese serial programs here like to have scenes of crying, shouting, anger, plots of revenge? I dun watch them but 10 years ago it was like dat. When I turned on recently, it was still like dat!

Is it cos these are the preferred ways they can display their actors'/actresses' skills? Other than these, it would be the typical hosptial scenes where someone is critically ill, more crying at bedside, etc.

Coz they're for the lowest common denominator, and that's where the $ comes in from advertising. Sadly, it's still the bottom line that counts.

This gives me the impression MCS is out purely to make money. As long as the minimal dollar is met, that's it.

To think they boast about "high viewership". High viewership yes... Because viewers have no other choice or that they're really good.:thumbsd:

I haven't watched any shows on TV for years except for the news sometimes. I prefer my drama series dvds .

you can predict what`s going to happen next..

What about some local variety shows, that, not just copies the concept/idea of certain segments. They virtually mimic THE ENTIRE show and just give it another show title. All you can expect is a pathetic local version.

Well.. Many of our shows on local TVs are copied ideas.. Singapore Idol and all the other IDOLIZING shows.. the chinese show on creativity are all copied.. and what`s more.. worse than the original.. tsk tsk..

storylines for serial shows has no kick.. you can almost guess what is going to happen.. the typical kind of beginning that will lead to a typical type of ending.. woah~ how "interesting"?

singapore idol.. what a letdown.. i wonder if they are voting for the faces or if they are casting votes because the voice is good and they look reasonable enough to represent singapore.. ;p
