by e way, as for the claims rite...u can try file a claim...and ask ur agent what documents he need...cos for different items they require different info and proof...

bo bian, best you can do is local report.

the main problem is that insurance company will ask you for receipt. if no receipt to evidence the value of camera, they might either reject claim or anyhow give you an amount. somemore got a cap on the insured sum, so if typical travel insurance i think the limit is 300 to 500 bucks nia

last time i lost wallet in Barcelona, and got barcelona police report. The insurance company return me all the cash in the wallet, but my mont blanc wallet they demand a receipt from mont blanc evidencing the value of the wallet. i say i only got the box with price tag, and insurance tell me to fly kite. since then, i have used cheap 5 dollar plastic wallet from pasar malam.

basically, insurance company has very powerful tai chi gongfu. The cheaper the insurance you bought, the more power their tai chi wan.

was in mdm tussuad's when i realised a suspicious looking latino guy kept appearing behind me, and my bag zipper was half unzipped. tailed the guy and saw him up to his tricks on another tourist..

their modus operandi is to sneak close in crowded places, especially inside museums or tourist hotspots, and use a jacket to hide their arms while they unzip your bags..

I think they operate in gangs so not a very good idea to confront them yourself.. just be careful..
