hi psychoboy,
u sure? :)
exactly the same?

i think got difference one, even though same brand but different quality one.

so i think unless u buy from those wholsaler like in pasir panjang else yr not going to get the same taste.

I think the one used by hawkers is already mixed one. meaning coleslaw and juice already in the blue box when they were bought.
And i agree that they are really nice!

so klein and yurona,
does it mean cannot find the same dressing in supermarket? :(

actually, they buy the mayo right.... then they make their own and mix it all up as it will be cheaper this way.

mayo very easy to make.

oil
vinegar
eggs
salt
sugar

related to me by my classmate whoes parent used to run a food biz

unfortuanately yes, well you can try making your own you know...

add your seasoning until you get the flavour you like

its pretty simple... just add the ingrdient and whisk until it become the thick white paste.

the problem is i am too lazy for this. :D hoping i can just buy one from ntuc.
but thanks zekai!

If you really want it maybe you can buy from the hawker. May not be cheap but unless you get it from the supplier I think that's the easiest way.

I had party some time ago, and bought 2 tubs from the hawker. cant remember how much is was then. Anyway, you can get it from the hawker, no problems.

You WILL get sick of it after finishing the whole tub...:D

why don't you ask the aunties or uncle there what type of mayo they use ... make it subtle .... like saying eh uncle your salad very nice ah ... then a long conversation with him finally ask him what tpe of mayo they use ...

erm.. could it be coleslaw dressing? only that they used the mayo tubs, :P
my uncle, who's in the food biz, used to buy mayo in those blue tubs, so i don't think it comes ready made..

folks, i just bought the same blue tube from IMM, written best foods mayonaisse exactly like those hawkers have,

BUT

it taste different and bad :(

now i really think they must added something to it.
anyone can help?
