#18 Awakening

First time trying out panoramic photography and digital blending and it really is a convenient alternative to filters

Thanks for coming in, enjoyed looking at your thread too! Now is it unique in a good or bad way

If any of them fail in terms of composition or technical aspects it'll be appreciated if you could point them out so I can improve the next time :)

9 February 2014

Guess its evolving into "A Photo A Week"... Better than nothing :bsmilie:

Blue Hour at Marina Coastal Expressway, Singapore
26 frames stacked for light trails, with selective saturation for the reds to make the light trails more distinct.
One of the toughest paths I've walked just to get a photo, on the way climbing up all sorts of slopes and demolished paths and being chased by huge stray dogs on the way...

Oh my... Forgot to update this thread, so I'll post a few at a go now -

Somehow the light trails resembled a tropical cyclone, hence the title :bsmilie:

3 frame HDR/DRI

My first attempt at DRI photography, with 3 frames blended at ±2 bracketing. This photo was a challenge both to shoot and process, with 5 people cramped up in a tight space to get this view.

Shall slowly process some photos from my visit to the Cat Cafe during this short break :)

#23 Sunset Central

Wasn't the best sunset or blue hour with clouds obscuring my view, one from post-sunset on Saturday. Shot with Haida ND 6 stop, 2 image HDR/DRI.

#25 Murkiness

Corrected hot pixels. Might take a break this weekend with my overload of schoolwork :(

And from this post I will upload my photos with the longer side at 1024. :)

Would love to have as much C&C on this as possible, first time doing portraits :(

V.gd effort :) but do try to get rid of the distracting elements (the potted plants) that doesn't relate to the theme in future. I don't like so use watermarks as I don't see any need for them since those who want to steal will still steal but really interesting is how u placed your watermark onto the pot itself so it doesn't spoil the pic. ;)

I would have taken the photo from another angle with the model looking directly at me and with a tighter frame for a more imposing feel, but that is subjective to one's feel.

Thank you for your advice. Will take note the next time I do portraits :)

Cheers!
