The dull colours could be due to your colour space. Macintosh's use AppleRGB as opposed to sRGB in Windows (or for some people AdobeRGB). I personally find AdobeRGB to be duller than sRGB.

YES totally true. sRGB has seemingly higher saturation levels. Hmm think ill just boost the sat for my shots by about 10% next time.

The photos are edited on my Macbook and i noticed it looks alot duller when i view it on my windows desktop.

When possible, you should never edit images using a laptop screen. It deceives your senses.
