Kuta, are you still using the Tamron 17-35 and the Nikon 50 1.4 in most of these shots?

The wide angles with people for the dramatic framing are excellent btw....by far some of the best shots I've seen in these forums!

Hey John thanks for the comments dude. Yes almost all the shots are done with these two lenses. The Bali and London ones are with the Tokina 12-24 and a D80 though. But the 17-35 rocks for the price you're paying.

I've also recently added a 105mm f2 dc in the collection.

Thanks wwl - i travel approx 3-4 times a year which i don't think is often enough! But 2009 has been exceptionally and i've already been on trips 5 times thus far. Off to Bali on Mon!

Hey allcrap - i would be more than happy to share info on specific pics that ppl are interested in. But generally i'm a sloth and would rather not list out the settings out of sheer laziness :embrass:

Generally i shoot with a 50mm 1.4, 105 f2 dc, and a 17-35. For the former two i usually shoot at f2.2 and nothing slower than 1/125. For the wider shots i stop down to f8-9 at the same shutter speeds. I usually compensate low light with high ISO and am one that love grains.
