[mardellion] Possibly Scapes

love the colours on #4 :)

Stunning thread man!

Thank you! Looking forward to some critiques and composition-wise comments here cos I'm still quite struggling with composition.

Thank you! It came after a really heavy downpour which I thought would be another bummer... But this came as a surprise.

Woah you're too modest man, you're very good already.

Great job with #12 dude.

Thanks man!

Thanks for the compliment! I know it myself actually. I've seen several photos and wondered to myself, 'I wouldn't have thought of that if I were shooting it'. My composition technique seems to be very mundane, very predictable. This is one aspect I've striving to work on.

Nice stuff here. And this reminds me of chinese painting. Great works!

Thank you nitewalk! I've had people telling me that too and I'm not sure whether it should be a compliment. I used to have read a article saying a photo should not look like a painting. Not sure how well it stands in the actual community.

Changi Beach, the place where I contracted my first dengue fever on my birthday.
Since then (about 2 years ago), I've had phobia of this place, but finally plucked the courage to go back again this year.
The fear still lingers, but I really love this place now.

Till date, I've contracted 3 cases of dengue, all from photography :bsmilie:

:thumbsup::thumbsup:, all very lovely shots. Pic 10, has very nice sunset colours and the receding waves gives a sense of motion, lovely.

Well if it ended with over saturated colours it can look like a painting. But my meaning is not that kind. I like.

Some stunning photos you have here! Not technically perfect, no frills & fancy works but simple, strong, & beautiful images.

Thank you! I particularly feel for that shot too (though I was told not to feel strongly for any shots in order to improve myself). It's actually a sunrise shot! And sunrise these few weeks are amazing.
