Where can you get G Lens 70-200MM for $2399? I'm interested in getting it.

well if you really want the 70-200 ssm, you should consider getting it from malaysia. Street price now on the lens is only RM55++ before adding in your own bargaining skills...;)

Got any shop to recommend?

Got any shop to recommend?

well i get most of my stuff from online sellers, tend to be able to bargain more(i got my sigma 70-200 f2.8 hsm2 for rm2900 last month which i think is a good deal). But as for shops, can check out the ones in PUDU PLAZA. As far as i no, the shops there have the cheapest prices...

70-200/2.8G

Taipei has by far the cheapest prices but than you have to happen to be there. Malaysia is indeed a good alternative.

I guess from thread sony new bodies, new lens becoming more like kopitiam. Hahax but kinda interesting. Many things shared here. :D

well i have no idea about the shops in JB. but as for what i meant for online sellers is that in the PHOTOMALAYSIA forum u can find 'vendors' that doesnt have a shop but still carries a large amount of goods. They forum gives them a their own online page to post all of their products.;p

OT .. you driving a Flinstone's car? Find Studio Zaloon in KL, they might be able to help you out

tomo nikon announce new model first. a new sensor from Sony:)

D5000? 12mp Cmos and not Exmor?
It's between D60 and D90 with flip LCD (and AF-S only :().

And the screen is only 230,000 dots. Like the old, ugle Canon 40D screen.

Also, the downward-swivel screen can get in the way if mounted on a tripod.

Actually, me thinks, it's good time to wait until others played out their cards.

and as for a swivel LCD... i think - the oly side swivel is better than a bottom swivel. :)

Hope this Exmor-R thingy works better in Low Light, which I think is the only weaker spot, and Sony should fill up their lower end with camera man friendly features, not take them out, like easily accessed MLU, silent shooting mode, DOF preview etc, and keep motor drives on etc... this little things make a camera much more functional IMHO, and in that respect Sony has done very well - at least, the level of crippling is not as great as what you see on Nikon, where you can mount af-s lenses, and effectively exclude many lenses from the line - if - you consider being able to AF - as something that's very important in terms of functionality.

One important feature for me (also the reason i got my a300) is to have fast AF in LiveView which makes the tilting LCD usable and fun...

For N & C, it seems they did not do anything to improve that...so even with 180' swivel LCD also quite useless IMO...

yeap, unless they can drastically improve contrast detection, they are still going to be slower than the Sony implementation that uses phase detect...
