Haha, what's with all the jerkiness. Could be due to poor technique since he's not known for his video work I believe. Will have to try in person to judge. But that's quite a compact fluid head. Any other alternatives for compact fluid heads?

Not much has changed in the micro fluid head arena. So far, I'm still loving my Velbon FHD-51QN ($75 from TKfoto) Sirui makes an even smaller fluid head with return tilt spring for their momopods. VA5 I think. $169 head alone.
To its credit the BeLive head has a really clever leveling base built in! Definitely worth a try to see how it performs.
Caveat: these heads are strictly for low payloads.

can i test out your velbon? i'm thinking of buying one .. the current manfrotto head i am using is quite heavy -- harder to use when overseas travel

Sure bro! Mine is on the Velbon UT43 sticks, the lightest in the series. Will shake even in a light breeze. Best used indoors.
The Fluid head OTH is very good.

been using the slik sprint mini and sprint-pro along with a manfrotto 700RC video fluid head for run and gun shots plus travel. very light combo. the only thing it can't do is have the legs wrapped upright to compress the length for storage.
