Hard to understand why Fletcher was selected ahead of Park, especially with all the media hypes.

Possible reasons:
1. Blame it on bias Scottish connection
2. Fletcher hardly a threat and therefore, often left unmarked and may surprise with a odd goal. That was apparently the case when he scored against Chelski a few season back

Nothing against Fletcher but really felt pathetic to watch him play. For instance, not closing/marking down opposing players, not chasing the ball and seldom win or make tackle. Attacking flair seems to be non-existent. Either he drops out of the screen or simply, bad positioning.

Hard to see the potential given that Fletcher has been the same player and has not improved. While Park can spark, inspire and excite, the same can't be said of Fletcher.

All said, what Fletcher can't do, Park can do all; what Fletcher can do, you and I can apparently do it as well.

Yes, Chelsea have achieved a unique treble, triple runner up. 3 times 2nd best! 2nd best to Spurs in League cup, 2nd best to Man Utd in the league and now 2nd best in CL. :bsmilie:
