Smalling signs a new contract! I wish there would be more stability in the squad - less transfers in/out during the season. Looking at past examples of United teams, the teams that did well had generally been playing together for quite a while. New signings are limited to one or two which helps to limit the amount of 'getting used to' for everyone.

Their current standard of play can also be attributed to everyone having taken quite a while to settle down, get used to the new coaching and new team mates. If they dont ship too many players out this offseason, I will be even more optimistic for the new season.

Can't agree more. It takes time for things to click together.

First half gone, still no goals for us. The play is just too plain and simple. Too much ball possession and square passing from left to right then back from right to left. There are no real threat to West Brom goal mouth. LVG strategy for ball holding is ok but the outcome should be someone penetrating pass that will trouble the opposition defense. I don't see it happening. How are we going to win games with this strategy? It's like crossing the balls into the goal mouth waiting for mistake by the defense and Felliani, rvp pounce on such mistakes.... I did not see any individual brilliance or flair from Ronney, Mata, Felliani, RVP. We need to create goals ourselves. Too much waiting for something to happen with no ideas how to finish the passing that can create or result in goals. West Brom just simple park the bus and wait. Hopefully second half, when WB defense tired out, we may finally get the 1 goal the least to win this game. GO MU GO GO GO

Just very disappointed that we lost this game with so many chances. West Brom goal keeper did extraordinary well. We will have to look back and regret how pathetic we played in the first half wasted to score. Deflection is still a goal. Being able to defend till the end, credit goes to WB. MU must play better with good penetration play, having the possession is of no use without goals. Look at Barcelona, another 8-0 today. How do they manage to score so many goals, wonder what are the thought of LVG now....
