Giggs is more a squad player now and playing those not so important games..... or big matches... and depending on strategy.
When I saw the team sheet and saw jones as a midfielder, I had good feeling as I was sure he would take care of fellini......
Man u hv 1 day less of rest and hope it is not going to affect their performance. ...

opposite from me... when i saw jones as a midfielder, i have a bad feeling as i roughly knew he was assigned to do 'dirty job'.. shut off dangerous mushroom head...
as far as i know, ManU very seldom play man-marking... but this mushroom head too dangerous... high chance jones will again assign to shut-off ronaldo tis wed CL game..

I also agree that MU will be sucidal if play defensively tom morning. The right strategy is to get an away goal which is vital for 2-legs games at this stage of UCL, especially against RM. Therefore, attacking is a best form of defence in this situation. We should be able to contain RM attacks given the line-up. Hope we can get an early goal and settle down ASAP. Will definitely be up watching but we have to be aware of the referee decisions though.

Well... in some cases, they have to shut out the THREAT..... Mushroom head was devastating and wacked Man U hard in the first game and I am sure SAF is mindful of his aerial threat.... Jones did ok.. and Vidic presence helds too....
I am not sure if many people can catch up with Ronaldo..... maybe Rafael.... but I do not find Jones that fast.......

The vital thing is the away goal.... and RM at home will be difficult...... I think SAf will flood the midfield to cut of the supplies.... wonder if he will play like Southampton and do the pressing much higher???

Dun think Man Utd will be defensive and Man Utd is never defensive.
1) It is not Man Utd style no matter what United still play offensively. I am sure with RVP and the rest... it will be a waste to play defensively. And SAF have told the lads to go for goals.
2) look at our transfer over the past season almost 80-90% are midfielders wingers or forwards never or seldom the backline. No matter how crap our backline looks/are.
So am pretty sure it will be offensive and end to end stuff! Win for Man Utd.

why should ManU fear RM? just b'cos of ronaldo? if RM keep passing the ball to ronaldo and hoping to win the game, then they will definitely lost the game.
remember when ManU played Barca in final and all ManU players kept passing the ball to him... end up he did not score any goal... so ManU should not focus on him alone... other RM players are equally dangerous... think he will instruct to distract defenders out of position and let other players to do the killing job..
ManU should stay alert on ALL opposite players, including their keeper for quick counter-attack.... hope ManU win tonite or at least draw with away goals...good luck!
