Man Utd V Wigan

3pts at OT before we collect another 3 at OT midweek against Galatasaray

Looks like our injury list is getting longer with Rooney out!

After a week of rubbish international game Papers: Reds trio out?

United hit by triple blow
Manchester United could be without Robin van Persie, Shinji Kagawa and Patrice Evra for their Barclays Premier League game against Wigan at Old Trafford on Saturday. Van Persie was taken off with a thigh problem during Holland’s win over Hungary on Tuesday while Kagawa sat out Japan’s game with Iraq with a back strain. And left back Evra was so poor in France’s World Cup qualifying win over Belarus that he may be rested ahead of next Wednesday’s Champions League opener at home to Galatasaray. Manager Sir Alex Ferguson will assess Van Persie and Kagawa at training on Thursday, but Kagawa is almost certainly out after saying on Wednesday he was still in pain. If Evra is rested, it would mean a first start for new left back Alexander Buttner.

Hope all will be back in time for their toughest rival in the Champions League but lucky is at OT!

Convincing win.. New comers Buttner and Powell scored ...especially Buttner goal, solo display... good start .... Noisy neighbour dropped 2 pts.... time to catch up....

Man Utd 4
- 0 Wigan :devil::devil:

First half boring... but all change after Scholes' goal, Hernandez, Buttner and Powell added on to the tally..

Buttner have a solid game and powell score a great goal too, nice impact by our new signings..;)

Next is Champion League on midweek..:)

We shall definitely see RVP and kagawa play this Wednesday for which a win will be certainty. Have confidence, with current team selection, without Rooney is more than sufficient for the win.

Man Utd vs Galatassary
We will be first 3 home pts in CL in 2hrs time!

UCL

Man Utd 1
- 0 Galatasaray

Awful performance in Europe again...
To be fair, Galatasaray themselves had a couple of good shout for penalty. We didn't play well and was a little lucky to come away with a 1-0 win I feel, but a win is all that matters.
We are capable of playing good football as shown by the first goal but seems to have a problem to substain in a long period mainly because by being careless with possession.

3/3 pk missed in a row , is this a new club record ?..
SAF has accepted responsibility for United's third missed penalty of the season and will decide who takes the next spot kick.

Going by recent form and misses, we need to score goals early in the game against Liverpool. AF has enough ammunication at his disposal to do just that. My take Man Utd to win 2-0 and worse outcome will be just a draw 1-1.

Lpool will play their 1st epl game tonite...cos their whole season only play 2 games, home n away game against Manu... so they will normally play well ..

Lol....don't ever let them win man.....it is damn big deal.....

Liverpool 1 - 2 Man Utd .

Good game for the neutral... but another nerve cracking for Man Utd's fan.
Our passing cmi most of the time, really frustrating to see...
Reina had nothing to do for 50 min !!!...has to be some kind of record for any keeper against Man Utd..:(

No doubt Liverpool is the much better team but Man Utd got the 3 points.

1st half give l'pool chance oso cannot win... let them scored goal oso cannot tahan long period.... wat to do? Then let us win lor... :-P
not very good game especially 1st half, totally defensive , no shoot at goal... against lousy team still can survive, if again strong team like city, gunner and chelsea... sure lost the game ...

Midfield was virtually 0 until Scholes came on.....I use to like Nani but he really needs self reflection....Giggs should retire for good.....we need someone who can control tempo....so far no one can do the job......Kagawa is a waste of money IMO....if this season MU want to win something......they need super performance from the rest of the guy.....only Raphael....van Persie and Lindergaard is doing that right now :(

Giggs shd retired. kagawa not good at all. carrick not bad from this few games. if feguson not buying replacement for midfield, i wonder. how man u gonna survive the long season.

The assessment so far is spot on, we are definitely not playing well. Some luck were heaven given with opponent teams not being able to score. It will take a more control approach to better passing and commitment from the players in order to rip good results. Not every game will be that fortunate going forward. AF should know this by now.

Man United 2
Anderson (44), Cleverley (58)
Newcastle 1
Cisse (62)

United progressed to the fourth round of the Capital One Cup with an entertaining 2-1 success against Newcastle thanks to goals from midfielders Anderson and Tom Cleverley.

Finally a decent win by the youth esp youthful backline n return of Rooney... just nice for Sat game v Tottenham before travelling to Europe CFR Cluj-Napoca on 2nd Oct.

Man United 2
Nani (51), Kagawa (54)
Tottenham 3
Vertonghen (2), Bale (32), Dempsey (52)

180 seconds at the beginning of the second half – three minutes of madness that produced three goals

What happen?

Horrible display by United in the first half... Second half was much much better, but still couldn't crack the Spurs defence. 1st win for Spurs at Old Trafford in 23 years.

We need to beef up the defenders and midfielders.... otherwise, number 20 is not going to come this year :(
