Man Utd XI : Legacy continues

I understand what fergie wants when he field Rooney and Berba together. He wants to confuse the opp defence by having them switch roles during the game, just like the left/right wingers do. Sometime, its nice to have someone like RVN but I sure don't want Man Utd to go back to the system used during RVN days.

Unfortunately... I don't it working - Not with Berba.

That's true... but if he is a out-ans-out striker and can work with rooney, that should be good... then again, depends on what the boss wants...

I supposed it's because still WC, so no spending yet for most clubs... I wonder if we are getting any new ones other than this one...

MU pale in Striking dept for the last few years ever since RVN departure....probably over shadow by the ghost of Ronaldo......IMO they did not lack of quality strikers....Rooney, Saha, Berba, Tevez, Manucho, Owen and now Hernandez....all would be 1st 11 in any other EPL team....Fergie needs to find a formula quick if they are to wrengler the championship from Chelsea....last year was close, only threw away in the last few matches....if the striking partner can match up to the like of Anelka/Drogba.......then they got hope

I still think that in the last 2-3 seasons, the best striking duo for us is Rooney and Tevez.
Too bad Fergie chose Berbatov over Tevez.
Hope Fergie can groom Hernandez, judging by his World Cup performances, i would say this boy has loads of talent in him.

Now we only left with Rooney, Berba, Owen and Hernandez!

Ya man, I also think Rooney and Tevez was the best in recent years after RVN. I think Fergie choose Berba over Tevez purely because of his asking price of 32-35m. Rooney is a similar player and he cost only 27m.

After 2 friendly wins we slump into our first defeat KC Wizards 2 United 1.

Our only goal from Berba's penalty!

United: Amos; Rafael, Smalling, J.Evans, De Laet (Fabio 76); Nani (Obertan 69), Scholes, Gibson (Cleverley 69), Giggs; Berbatov (Welbeck 76), Diouf (Macheda 69). Subs not used: Van der Sar, Brown, C.Evans. Booked: Giggs, Gibson

With this kind of lineup we need a penalty to score a goal best part is the Wizards play with 10 men for almost 50mins!!!:sweatsm:

This is probably OT, Out of Topic, not Old Trafford ;p now that MIO TV has exclusive rights to the EPL broadcast, assuming I am a Singtel hate fan, what are the alternatives for catching Man Utd's games? Is there totally no chance for United's games to be shown on football channel at all?

Still got MU TV:think:

If MU TV is playing the EPL games, then not so bad, can still stay at home and watch. You sure, bro?

They will feature Man Utd's games not sure about the rest!
