It is good that as a 19yr old he got so much of first team experience in club n country by the time he is back at OT he is more then ready to challenge for the first team! MAybe we will have another Keane in the making snice he take him under his wing wif the black cats :thumbsup: :devil:

With alot of promising youngsters coming thru the rank, it reminds me of Giggs, Beckham, Nevilles bros, etc. when Fergie brought then in and they went on to win major honours.:thumbsup: :devil:

I think just like the 92 season when half the first team r out due to injury n suspension Fergie brought in the then youngster Giggs n Co. to claim the no 2 spot in the EPL then when on to win the next season then on came the double...treble...from then on no looking back! ... soon when Evans n Rossi r back with the rest of the youngster together wif R & R the honours will start to roll in again!:devil:

England manager Steve McClaren and star striker Wayne Rooney were involved in a dressing-room row after the goalless draw against Israel, according to reports.

The Manchester United forward is said to have walked out of the dressing room after being singled out for criticism by McClaren, whose team have now failed to score in four of their last five matches.

SGD$40m for Nani is not too bad mah. Convert to English pounds is like 13.3M nia. Decent price for a young winger that may have the potential of Ronaldo.

per match, Man utd can make about $2M. <---gate/TV $$$
Total got 6 home matches= $12M
Away is about 1-1.5M, so lets make it 1M and 6 away= $6M

Win bonus is about +-1M. Win all=$12M
Q-finals bonus is 2M
S-Finals is 4M
Finals is 5M
Win=5M

Total $46M.

of cause its not accurate but I know that the actual prize is 5M for CL win. So u see why the teams are despo just to be in CL. No need to win at all but to big clubs like Man Utd, RM, BM etc, lifting the cup is just as impt.

well i was talking about just the prize money
im not too sure about getting +-1M before CL Quarter finals...
but if we just count those matches above quarter finals, its 16M. which is 6M more than the premiere league (put it another way 16M is 60% more than 10M)
and if im not wrong, usually a big fraction of these prize money goes to the club's transfer funds

so altho winning the EPL would be good to send chelsea a "message", winning champs league would be more practical to me for money :bsmilie:

for some stupid reason, england hardly drops their strikers, even though when they are off-form. english managers have been very stuborn, they always refuse to try new strikers. that is 1 of the reason why i dun like england. they dun have a deadly goal-banger
