Hi all Man U fans! I'm new to Clubsnap, surprised to see this thread as I thought this is a photo forum.

This is one of Man U's best season in years, and there's this exciting prospect that we may face Chelsea in the space of 2 weeks! If this really happens, i think honours will be shared, almost impossible to repeat the treble.

Just a question, do u prefer man u to win the

Domestic Double(Premiership and FA Cup) or

The Champions League?

I choose the latter.

if i had to choose 1 title, i choose champios league.
champions league more money :)

are u a chelski fan in spy ??
how can u say that ? u are not as hungry as the players are.. u really a man utd fan?:thumbsd:

Yes of course i'm a Man Utd fan, since 1997. Of course i hope we'll win the treble!
I share the same passion as Ferguson --- To win the Champions League again! I endured 7 terrible seasons (2000-now), spending countless nights staring at my ceiling at 5am in the morning coz of man u's elimination time and again. The most painful night is the defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-final few seasons ago. When Roy Keane scored i was so excited and thought that we can reach the final, but Leverkusen equalised!

So no, i'm not a chelski fan, its time for revenge...thrash them and make sure that they are only two-season wonders! The Man United Dynasty will last longer than Liverpool's, hopefully we can beat pool's record of titles and be the most successful team in the England!

CL winners prize only 2M. League is at least 10M.

i think u are wrong
winning the league is 10M
FA Cup i think is 1.5m or 2m

but for champions league (if i dun rem wrong):
reach quarter finals=2m
reach semi finals = 4.5m
reach finals = 10m

We're talking about prize $$$ or total?

If total, including gate/TV $$$ and win and Q/S finals bonus, a CL win will net Man Utd approx $45-50M.

For league, prize $$$ alone is already 10M liao leh. That is excluding gate $$$, TV $$$ etc.

trophies , trophies!! we want to win more trophies to eclipse liverpool:devil:

i give u a rough breakdown of the 50M CL $$$:

per match, Man utd can make about $2M. <---gate/TV $$$
Total got 6 home matches= $12M
Away is about 1-1.5M, so lets make it 1M and 6 away= $6M

Win bonus is about +-1M. Win all=$12M
Q-finals bonus is 2M
S-Finals is 4M
Finals is 5M
Win=5M

Total $46M.

of cause its not accurate but I know that the actual prize is 5M for CL win. So u see why the teams are despo just to be in CL. No need to win at all but to big clubs like Man Utd, RM, BM etc, lifting the cup is just as impt.

Sorry for the 2M, its the FA cup prize:bsmilie:

I
TR3BLE HERE WE COME!!!

Lille and United fined by UEFA:

UEFA have fined LOSC Lille and, to a lesser degree, Manchester United following the events at their Champions League match in France on 20 February.

The fixture ended in controversy when the French side appeared to threaten a walk-off following Ryan Giggs' late winner for the Reds.

Earlier in the game, there had been serious concern for the safety of United supporters at the crowded away end of the Stade Felix Bolleart in Lens.

An article on UEFA's official website on Thursday evening stated:

"LOSC Lille Métropole have been fined €61,734 (CHF 100,000) by UEFA for offences committed at the UEFA Champions League first knockout round first leg against Manchester United FC in Lens on 20 February.

"The French club were fined for breaches of security provisions and lack of proper organisation, as well as for the improper conduct of the team after United's goal in the English side's 1-0 victory.

"Manchester United have been fined €9,256 (CHF 15,000) for the improper conduct of their fans at the game, which included the setting-off of fireworks and disturbances at the entrance to the stadium.

"Appeals may be lodged against the verdicts within three days of receipt of the written grounds for the decisions."

A spokesman for United responded: "We have no comment to make at this stage, as we have not yet received written explanation of the reasons for the fine."

Note - The setting-off of fireworks, or flares, at a Champions League match leads to a mandatory fine by UEFA.

Bale unfazed by transfer talk:

Southampton starlet Gareth Bale is unfazed by speculation linking him with a big-money move to United or Tottenham.

The 17-year-old Welsh international was the subject of reported £10million offers in January.

But the level-headed left-back is concentrating on his football at St. Mary's.

"I'm not interested in all the talk going on at the moment, nothing has happened, all I want to do is keep playing and enjoy what I'm doing and I'm happy with that," he said as he prepares for Wales' Euro 2008 qualifiers against Republic of Ireland and San Marino.

"I just keep playing football, no matter what the opposition. I don't feel pressure because I love playing football. It's what I want to do.

"I don't take much notice of speculation. I'm not fussed about it. I enjoy playing for Southampton. It's my club."

Hargreaves sale not certain
Bayern Munich have warned that long-term United transfer target Owen Hargreaves is not guaranteed a move to Old Trafford in the summer.

Evans' stock keeps on rising
Young Reds defender Jonny Evans is yet to make his competitive United debut, but for his loan club Sunderland and on the international stage with Northern Ireland he is making huge progress.
