Milan quartet to play at OT:
Marcello Lippi has added seven more players to his already impressive European squad for Tuesday's UEFA celebration match at Old Trafford.

Joining the likes of Ronaldinho, Juninho and Henrik Larsson are AC Milan stars Paolo Maldini, Gennaro Gattuso and Andrea Pirlo, along with Milan's winter recruit, Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldo.

Roma striker Alessandro Mancini, Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Valencia's Portuguese defender Luis Miguel are also included.

Lippi will make a final check on his players’ fitness on Sunday evening and will announce the entire Europe XI squad at a press conference on Monday at the Headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels. ManUtd.com will bring you news of the squad confirmation as soon as we have it.

Over 70,000 tickets have now been sold for the match, proceeds from which will go to The Manchester United Foundation, setting an all-time record for a non-competition match at Old Trafford.

It means only 2,000 tickets remain, as the capacity has been set at 72,000 in order to accommodate two giant screens that will be used during a pre-match entertainment sequence which will feature action and memorable moments from the matches United have played in UEFA competitions since the club’s debut 50 years ago.

 So powderful team!!!:bsmilie:

usually soccer players peak at age 27, 28

hmmm then their squad really madness. i see lippi playing 4-4-2 diamond :P

Eerrr......why is fatboy in the euro team when he is not from EURO:think:

Ronaldinho and Juninho also not Euro mah. I expect park and heinze to play too.

I feel ManU could do without the UEFA Celebration match. Already with a congested fixture coupled with many injuries, the extra UEFA match is not going to help and can worsen the situation with fatigue setting in and more casualties (touch wood).

No choice liao! :bsmilie:

Man Utd is looking at 2 new SC next season. Leroy Lita and Jan Huntelaar. I think David Villa will be too ex and no value. Torres had a bad season, maybe over-rated.

Lita?!?!

Big two kept apart in FA Cup draw

Manchester United and Chelsea could meet in the final of the FA Cup after the semi-final draw kept them apart.

FA Cup semi-final draw:

Blackburn v Chelsea or Tottenham
Watford v Middlesbrough or Manchester United

The semi-final ties will be played on the weekend of 14 and 15 April at venues yet to be decided. I hope we make it!

I wouldn't read too much into the match. With a galaxy of stars, rightfully they should be more than a match for our devils, but, if you read the match report carefully, there were far very few tackles. For the devils, winning the match will enhance their reputation and at least give them a morale booster ahead of their remaining EPL, FA and CL matches while the Euro XI players were only playing for charity. I doubt they put in their best effort. Of course, at the end of the day, credit shouldn't be taken away from ManU for the victory.

yeah, watched the match. the euro team wassnt as power pact as i expected.
but i love rooney's goal. totally fooled canizarez

I missed the 1st half. Watch 2nd half. Barely any tackle from either side. Scholes can even dance around in his own 6 yard box! Almost conceed a goal. He testing reserve GK Heaton I guess. :bsmilie:

The Dong looks quite good. Quite a strong guy.

yeah, im quite surprised with dong's footsteps. not bad for an asian, didnt expect much from him lol.
yeah, scholes really gave me a jump when he did that half inch back pass lol
