hopefully Hargreaves will come to OT this summer.. with his service, man u's midfield will be stronger..

i think even if Man U have Hargreaves services yesterday, it wasn't enuf to break down the play from ACM....

u really need a fiery Keano with a Steve bruce ..... kinda quality to win balls and stamp a command in the middle of the team.....

what happen? dispute btw gattuso and scholes during the match, i heard the commentator said MU never return the free ball to milan.....

kaka suddenly fell to the ground i think coz of cramp or just slight muscle strain...

so ref ask him to leave field...

then scholes instead of blasting it to the goalkeeper (which would have been also quite impossible given so many ACM players nearby) he passed the ball to carrick or was it fletcher who then played ...

gattuso dulan...go and confront scholes......then almost wanna fight..... but i think gattuso started hands here hands there or some expletives or wadever lar...ref spotted seperated them and yellowed gattuso

who continued to swear and threaten scholes

That being the case, then Scholes was not sporting at all.

eh.. not really happened what you said leh.. one of the Man U players didn't kick the ball to ACM keeper but instead he kicked the ball out of play when the ref restarted the match.. then one of the AC Milan players threw in and the match continued but Gattuso thought that Man U didn't return the ball after the Kaka incident.. even the commentator said that it's Gattuso who's in the wrong leh..

:nono: ....not forget.....but LEARN from the past...

i really hate it when the team feel so confident......its typical signs that they APPEAR strong...but are weak ....

rather they be humble..... and give it their best shot.....

Manu to win the Premiership by Sunday!

Liverpool will win the Champions League this year!

Manu to win the FA Cup too!

Chelsea can keep the league cup! :bsmilie:

AC Milan look very much stronger than they last played Liverpool in 2005. This time around I don't think the match outcome is going to be settled thru penalty. From the way they played, they are gonna beat the hell out of Liverpool. :bsmilie:
Pool also stronger than 2005...;)

Well,at least the Premiership title is coming home;)

Chelsea can keep the league cup! :bsmilie:

nvm....one little cup is better than none.

better luck for us next season.

Yeah, the League Cup aka Mickey Mouse Cup. :bsmilie:

All not cast in stone yet, so don't be too sure. ManU's league title looks more certain. FA Cup could go either way while AC Milan looks too strong for Liverpool. My guts feeling is AC Milan will beat Liverpool this time; not from penalties. :bsmilie:

I watched the 2nd half and highlights of the 1st half after that.....I think it is very obvious that the MU players are suffering from fatigue....they looked tired.....hence it was quite easy for Milan to control the game as evident throughout the match....heard Sir Alex also gave physical conditioning and great tactics by Milan as the main reasons....

As to what can MU do to prevent this in future.....maybe a bigger squad....it is quite obvious that MU has no second stringers that are capable of stepping up ...hence you see the same team week in week out ploughing in EPL without any rest at all....I am quite sure Chelsea is also suffering fr the same phenomenon.

No disrespect to SAF and his team but i think it is high time that some ppl with great European experience are roped in ....Quieroz maybe shld be replaced. MU has been found wanting many times in terms of tactics and strategies in the European stage....the 2 goals conceded in the first leg and abysmal away records are indications of that. I heard Gianluca Vialli once said that English teams are setup to beat their opponent but Italian teams are setup to stop their opponent fr winning. Surely now is the high time for SAF to review all this.

Let's hope for a great finish to the season nonetheless with League and FA Cup titles just round the corner .....go go go

It's okay. I remember the sour grapes Chelski fans saying the same thing 2 years ago after they lost the semi final. This year, I will remember the sour grapes Manu and Chelski fans. Doesn't matter if Liverpool looses eventually, it's the display of jealousy that I find most amusing! :bsmilie:

On 23rd May 2007, Liverpool and their fans will win the hearts and minds of a billion people around the world, doesn't matter if they win or loose.

everyone said Liverpool wont win the CL in 2005 but who won it that time?

In attack, i think Rooney needs to be consistent to take his chances

u noe the major problem too yesterday is:-

NONE OF THE PLAYERS CAN HOLD THE BALL AND PLAY THE ITALIANS! ....the moment the ball reaches their leg and when they are pressured (great tactics by the italians...they sure know the weaknesses of English teams), they instinctively turn into rock and face back and pass the ball.....

if u relook at the way the ACM play....there's so much more flair to it....they show their confidence...they can take any player man on....and play that fella out just b4 turning past him..... its only when there are a couple of the oppoents that come real tight that they have no choice to pass the ball on....

sadly, thats the difference between english and italian football. most english play it the physical way, while in italy, they are more technical and tactical.

for e.g. when an eng striker meets a GK 1 on 1, most of the time, they will just whack the ball hard. for italians, they will try placing the shot, lobbing the keeper, fake and dribbling round the GK etc... imo, a lot more effective and classy :P

like i've previously iterated, they have to go up close to shackle to fight for the ball........else like yesterday, end up giving away so much ground!

its not possible for man u players to do tight man-marking yesterday.
tight man-marking is a good tactic, but it is also a very very energy-draining strategy.
with our player's condition, zonal marking would probably be more appropriate.
