simply amazing shot!

Thanks guys. Surprised to see this bumped up.

Noticed i didnt answer a lot of questions... probably because of work (I blame work!!)

I got my ikelite housing from Oceanic Focus (aka PhotoSmart) for about $2.3k. (cant remember exactly, better to check with Oceanic Focus.

Yes there is a shot with a little bit more space, but not much. The image was only slightly cropped.

The EXIF is...
1/125s
15mm
F/6.3
ISO 200
Pattern Metering
Manual Exposure
0 EV compensation

Better late than never! =)

I was browsing through the u/w forum and stumbled upon this pic. I just felt that I HAD to compliment you on the beautiful pic. :)

Thanks cityofangels!! :sweatsm:

But really, it was more a case of "right place, right time" kind of thing. The natural lighting made this shot.

frankielim, i used the Sigma 15mm FE. Its a real pleasure to use underwater. On a 1.6x crop, there is minimal distortion which is hard to discern for underwater shots where there are no real straight lines. But f2.8, speed of focus, compactness ... the lens basically handles well.

Great shot on a beautiful female manta!!
