I bought my Canon A80 from this shop for $650 about 3 weeks ago. I wanted to pay by credit card but they do not accept, unless I absorb the merchant's fee from them.

Also, check with them for local waranty when you call to get quotation. When I called, they quoted me $550 for A80, but when I went to the shop I realised that quoted price does not come with any waranty.

They're not cheaters, they just import sets without going through Canon, so no chop or anything. Anyway they're not the only company that does equote like that. I know of some other shops that does that too.

Thanks for the tip Fanny. I checked and it is with original Canon warranty. He had no problems for payment with Diners Club card on interest free installment. I did not inquire about the Visa card payment.

Called Canon and they are quite certain shipment will arrive at the dealers latest this Thurs. Anyone else interested in the MO? Maybe I should start a new thread on the MO.

You guys interested in doing a mass order on this? I was the one who originally got the $2550 quote and told Aaron. Original Canon warranty available from Magnificent Snap. Can also pay via credit card. Diners Card holders can have interest free installment. I think they sound safe to purchase from.

The whole of Singapore got no stock of the 10D. Hope your info from Canon about shipment arriving this week is correct Mavvy.

heh... I enquired with Canon Singapore coz I told them none of the shops in SG knows when coming in.. So they told me...

To telll you the truth, you should forget about MO, cause each shop are given limited stock by Canon/Nikon (3 to 4 pcs). So shopkeeper will more likely sell it to those willing to pay the highest price (like tourist) or to those who at least get some accessories from them.

Non of the so call hopeful MO conducted by many people b4 u succeeded. My advice, it is better to rush and grab the stock when it arrive b4 someone else grabs it. MO doesn't work for digital camera, at least for now, cause there are shortages worldwide.
