Hi All...

Does any one have any experiences with this store at Marina Square?

Someone I know actually was quoted S$2550 w/gst for a Canon 10D.

Frankly... I didn't even know that there was any other camera shop in Marina other than CP....

I'm not sure ... I just HEARD from someone I know that he got a quote from this shop... i never noticed any other shop besides CP in Marina.

Check against Canon's list of authorised distributors.

If his shop is listed in Canon's list, should be relatively safe. $2550 IS very tempting I agree.

Did a check, the name is not listed on Canon's site. Your friend might wanna reconsider, you won't know where his stock is coming from if he's not getting it from Canon.

They are competitive and they offer very good prices.

As to whether their stocks are authorised, I would like to think so. I believe the list on Canon's website is not complete and accurate.

An example is WETWORKS..doubt you can find that company name in the database but WETWORKS is an authorised reseller for Canon. I own that company

Just check with them if they have a local warranty card from Canon. That should be safe enough and ensure you have everything in the package. Refer to the manual for the contents that should be included.

Imagine that they quote S$2550 w/gst for a Canon 10D... Thats almost 100 bucks cheaper than CP ?

Just went to bargaincity to have a look... Their Canon 10Ds are going for S$2667.60 w/gst.

...While Magnificent Snap at Marina Sq. has theirs going for S$2550 w/gst. Thats a whole 100 dollars cheaper.

Either they're cheap or something is fishy.

Checked with Magnificent Snap today, they claimed to have no stock and no idea when stocks are arriving.

Dealers usually use this type of underhand method to spoil the market knowing that they have no ready stocks. Should call them Magnificent Crap. :thumbsd:

You guys interested in doing a mass order on this? I was the one who originally got the $2550 quote and told Aaron. Original Canon warranty available from Magnificent Snap. Can also pay via credit card. Diners Card holders can have interest free installment. I think they sound safe to purchase from.

The whole of Singapore got no stock of the 10D. Hope your info from Canon about shipment arriving this week is correct Mavvy.

They sell anything, just don't carry stock on hand. Eg their D100 is $2650. Their prices seem better for bodies than lenses.

I bought my Canon A80 from this shop for $650 about 3 weeks ago. I wanted to pay by credit card but they do not accept, unless I absorb the merchant's fee from them.

Also, check with them for local waranty when you call to get quotation. When I called, they quoted me $550 for A80, but when I went to the shop I realised that quoted price does not come with any waranty.
