n0d3 said:What camera are you using? It works fine for my 300D. And on Canon bodies, metering only works in Av/Manual modes. And for those that didn't catch my previous post, if you want to shoot at XXX aperture, eg. f/9, switch to Av mode with the lens mounted on properly, set the aperture to f/9 then hold the DOF Preview button and unscrew the lens. The aperture blades should remain at f/9.

I am using 10D. I did what you told but still got Err01 one.![]()
Do I need to tape the contacts?
Thanks.
n0d3 said:Weird, not sure. Got any other 10D users around? It happens when you try to take without a lens or what?
sumball said:I tried mounting my FD lens onto my 10D. No error message. In manual mode, it allows me to change the shutter speed and shown 00 (2x zero) for the aperture since the camera cant get any confirmation from the lens, so it is acceptable.
Yes, it works! Didn't try mounting the EF mount lens though.![]()
Or the cheap used FD mount from TCW?eAgles said:Thanks, sumball. Maybe I shoot get a cheap 52mm dia Nikon 50mm F-mount and try. *sigh*
I thought a tele is better than a WA... Not sure, have to check with the macro master, Mr Megaweb.eAgles said:Just curious, does reverse 50mm have the highest mag factor or have to go down to 24mm reverse?

PQ23 said:eAgles, the EF50 f1.8 should work. Have you test it with aperture wide open? 24mm has higher mag factor.
To All - Thanks for your support!
For info, I still have many extra canon 52mm and few nikon 52mm. PM me if anyone wish to get it.
