What camera are you using? It works fine for my 300D. And on Canon bodies, metering only works in Av/Manual modes. And for those that didn't catch my previous post, if you want to shoot at XXX aperture, eg. f/9, switch to Av mode with the lens mounted on properly, set the aperture to f/9 then hold the DOF Preview button and unscrew the lens. The aperture blades should remain at f/9.

Weird, not sure. Got any other 10D users around? It happens when you try to take without a lens or what?

Happens with lens on in reverse even when I should manual mode. Does the aperture value need to match what you set in DOF preview when removing lens?

I tried mounting my FD lens onto my 10D. No error message. In manual mode, it allows me to change the shutter speed and shown 00 (2x zero) for the aperture since the camera cant get any confirmation from the lens, so it is acceptable.

Yes, it works! Didn't try mounting the EF mount lens though.

eAgles, the EF50 f1.8 should work. Have you test it with aperture wide open? 24mm has higher mag factor.
