Alright, thanks xhui. Will get a Logitech mouse over the wk end. I sure hope this works as the lag is driving me nuts..

Hi Madmacs, i've tried the Mighty Mouse (wired) & a wired HP laser mouse. I dun think there's anything wrong with these 2 mouse as they both work fine on my Windows laptop.

did you try adjusting the mouse settings in the system preferences?

Yes, adjusted the mouse settings on the system already. Even downloaded a third party software from Mac webby for the mouse (some speed adjust ment software). Asked a friend of mine who uses mac a lot for his work. He also can't fix it.

Same thing here, adjusted speed, downloaded "drivers" for mac etc etc, tried logitech, microsoft, etc etc mice, still have that "lag" no matter what. Even when the speed is like faster, it just jerks faster with a lag still. so..

hmm, actually i kind of goton used to the "lag" after the years of using mac (i'm a wired mouse advocate), it only got irritating when i started doing more image editing stuffs which requires more control and precision. Then my mice hunting started :bsmilie:

Doubt there will be any cuts in price... probably just some extra goodies... but are their any promotions now?

Get it online with the education discounts? (a cousin, a student, a teacher friend). Or just get it at the store and bargain for more freebies? Else, no harm waiting for Sitex just to assure yourself. Then you can compare, and if deals aren't that attractive, just buy online (free delivery).

Normally, Apple new products will not have promotion so soon. I went to checked that day, all the apple resellers got no promotion yet for the white mac citing thin margin as the reason. I think you may be able to get few freebies like keyboard cover during SITEX.

The best way to get a discount is through the Educational Discount from the apple store. About 8% off the retail price which is quite fixed anyway.

i wonder how some forumers managed to crash their mac

commercial DI on Photoshop, medium format digital back files in 16bit, hugely multiple image and adjustment layers, with image sizes (not file size) over 1GB... that's the way to do it... even Mac Pros are susceptible... ;p

It works !!! Finally !! No more lag. Thanks again to Xhui for recommending me this mouse.
The mouse model is Logitech LS1 Laser Mouse. I bought it at Challenger for $29.
When I was there last Fri, only 2 were left at Funan Challenger. One white & the other Maroon.

I did a google search, there's a singapore mac forum but it's not very active in terms of Buy and Sell.
