M9 and moire problem

Just got the M9 for about a week... did some try out shoots using 24mm/1.4 lux at nite on singapore skyline and all... to my disbelieve, the M9 moire badly...

only then i started digging into other forums across the net.. it seems the M9 is very prone to moire problem due to leica not deploying AA filter to preserve sharpness. hm..

any M9 owners here experienced this so far?

Hi zag it's a known issue they sacrificed the filter so as to preserve the quality of leica lenses... Wait til you experience the purple fringing... Hit me a couple of times already....

I did experience some but that's when I view the pic thru the M9's LCD, when i load up the photo onto the mac, I don't see much of it anymore..

thks guys for the feedback.. sporadic reporting of the M9 moire problems seems played down by leica die hard... if it had been nikon or canon.. it's like seeing blood as long as i can remember..

it was pretty bad for my case... on camera LCD as well as on the iMac..
couldn't believe my eyes when i looked at the preview and was looking for the colorful building behind marina bay sands with the zebra pattern.. (looks like the creature from movie Avatar)

i am wondering too if the 24mm/1.4 summilux combo exacerbates the problem...

Here is the sample of the picture.. (focus on the building structure right behind to the right of marina bay sands)
