It's crazy to mount the SB900 on the LX3 which is 3 times bigger.

no read somewhere that sb-400 will not work with other cameras except for nikon....will not fire at all unless it is attached to a CLS-compatible camera.

Then better test with the external flash more. The pop up flash may eventually fly away, or refuse to pop, if the design is not robust.

it all up to the user, and morever this to demostrate how versatile the lx3 are...
we need not wait for the overpriced item from panasonic,
any old flash with auto mode should be able to use on this unit...
best of all this lx-3 is a strobist dream compact, when paired with radio wireless trigger.
There hell lot of creative lighting and outdoor shoot u can shoot with it...best of all, being an electronic shutter...in theory, u shoot able to shoot up to the max of the flash sync speed yr radio wireless and the flash able to:thumbsup::bsmilie:

I unfasten it from my FZ50 & try to put it in the LX3. Why would I fasten it before slotting it into the hot shoe? One possibility is that the display set's hot shoe is dented.

I brought my FL50R last week to COMEX to try with the LX3. I am able to fit it onto the LX3 and it is able to work. However, I must say that the fitting is very very tight. Seems quite risky... :think:
