not much point waiting la. by the time lx3 came out you might have saved 900... but what if the price is even higher than lx2? den you will be saying 'lets save for lx4'... this gonna keep on and on.

the cam itself(with no bundle) selling at $720 with gst for now.... wait till next week for bundle which might just include a casing and a 512mb xd card...micah4 said:

well, i'm having a great time with my f30, so don't really miss the LX - had thot of replacing the f30 w the lx2 for its 16:9, 28mm., mega ois, leica lens (and raw) which the former lacks - since the price gap is so wide, will just simply wait....wait.....wait, afterall can afford to wait...well, just mabe, might consider the lx1 if the price gap is....
i would say no... most camera rrp are set with consideration of rival already, even without those for cam, pana still got alot more rival model, so price will not be affacted by newly rival.Naga88 said:

Went down to Parisilk this evening to see see look look.
Then saw the LX2 pretty nice with the new 16:9 LCD screen. Price also good and comes with Kingston 1GB SD card.
So picked up the black colour cam home....
Moral of the story: If u don't intend to buy and poor in resisting tempation, then don't visit the camera shops!
Anyway a little regret in getting the black colour cam. Should have gotten the silver one... not so easy to see the dirty spots on the cam.
