yeap its not really second hand its just the seller is selling it at a loss cos he owns a shop and nobody bought the viewfinder frm him. if it doesnt zoom with the lens then how the hell am i gonna take a zoomed in picture with it attached? frm this point i dont really see any good use of the viewfinder other than it looking good on the camera..

I think it really waste space.... as it took up the hot-shoe slot that could be used for external flash...

has anyone bought RICOH Self Retaining Lens Cap LC-1??

LC-1 can be snap in to the LX3 after you remove the ring protecting the screw thread but is a tight fit. You will have to push hard but no damage done.
There is one problem however is that you can't zoom to the tele position as the lens retract when in the tele position and you will get vignet. In the wide position it is OK as the lens is longer and pushes the cover wide open.
In order for it to be used in the tele position you will have to stick some tapes inside.
You can get the LC-1 from TK Foto, think they still have it.

According to Panasonic , they dun bring in DMW-CLX3 casing to Singapore ... ( what a shame )

Alan Photo in Funan has the DMW-CLX3. $169 though. might as well buy a Leica D-Lux 4 leather case instead ($199), though its bulkier.
