Sheesh... really too bad I didn't drive up to Sorrento.

Well, I caught a very beautiful sunset at Cottesloe beach too. Anyway, that whole stretch of coast line, spectacular sunsets!

I totally agree with you that Perth's a very gd place to hang around, do nothing and relax. Totally awesome!

Sorrento's good for sunsets and surfer-watching.Bring some takeaway, drive there and watch the sunset. ;)

Perth is a very nice place to hang around.

On day 06, 10 of my family members headed back to Singapore whereas my wife and I extended our trip for another 3 days as we haven't really explored Perth city. So on this day, it was only Langley Park (downtown Perth City) and King's Park where we visited.

52. Langley Park, Perth City

After days of driving and sightseeing, its finally time to say goodbye to Perth for 10 of my family members as they headed back to Singapore. After sending my family members off, my wife and I just wanted to relax and bask in the afternoon sun. Hence, we headed down to Langley Park.

Clean lawn, cooling weather, blue skies - these are just some of the factors that made me love doing nothing and relaxing in the park. Wonderful feeling! Something you will never get to experience here in Singapore.

Somehow I feel this particular pano picture contains quite a number of flaws. Nonetheless, just to show the place where my wife and I relaxed for the afternoon.

53. Reaching for Blue Skies

Have you ever wanted to visit a particular place just because you wanted to lie down on the clean grass lawn to relax and enjoy the weather whilst looking up and reaching for the blue sky?

Well, here’s just what my wife and I did. Our desire to find a place to relax and bask in the afternoon sun led us to Langley Park in downtown Perth. After relaxing for about 45mins, we felt totally relaxed and refreshed. Just like being given an invigorating treatment to the mind and body.

Awesome! Really awesome!

54. Colors at Dusk, Perth

As both my wife and I didn't have any plan on day 6 of our trip other than to send our family members off to the airport, I decided to make another trip back to King's Park to get the scenery at dusk.

This picture was taken at King's park. The colors are so lovely. Although there isn't a definite subject to this picture, my intention was to capture the colors that illiminates at dusk. Nothing short of stunning!

The main purpose of going back to King's Park at this hour is to capture this scene.

The picture speaks for itself really!

Yes, King's Park is nice to go to at night. ;)

On one of my last nights in Perth, I had dinner at Frasers, the restaurant at King's Park.

Too many people in the restaurant at the time I was there. So I gave it a miss and had Japanese food instead.

Hahaha..

Always loved the seafood at Scarborough, but recently it's become quite packed as well.

Yeah! The coasts always have nice sunsets..

If I remember correctly, Kings Park has a tram-wagon service, not sure if it's still in operational.

Spend 2-3 weeks in Perth, unplugged from the online world.. and you will return really refreshed.

I totally agree with you that the coastal sunset in WA is stunning! Being in Perth for 9 days is already enuff for me to be refreshed! I'm afraid if I get unplugged for too long a time, I wouldn't be able to reconnect with the real world :bsmilie:

Anyway, On my few trips up to King's Park, I didn't notice any tram-wagon service, perhaps it's outta service already. Or perhaps I totally missed it. Anyone can verify?

Day 07 was the day that both my wifey & I had absolutely no plans to do anything or go anywhere. Everything that we did on this way was really impromptu, perhaps we were rather tired of driving for the past couple of days.

56. Perth Train Station

My wife and I had the thought that we’ve not experienced a city if we haven’t hoped on their public transport; hence we decided to hope on the train and stop on any random stop just for the fun of it. Here’s Perth Railway Station!

57. Catching a Smooch at Subiaco Station

Was waiting for the train at Subiaco back to Perth city when my wife and I came across a couple smooching away at maybe a secluded corner of the train station totally oblivious to the stares from other commuters.

58. Trains Can Come Out of Nowhere

4074790588_4788833c5e.jpg

The day ended with both my wife and us returning back to Perth Train Station after our train ride to nowhere. Loitered around the station for quite a bit before catching this precautionary sign with a train rolling pass in the background. Can't seem to alter the distortion from the sign board.

On the 2nd last day in Perth (Day 08), wifey & I set off quite early in the morning to visit Fremantle Prison, Frementle Market, South Mole and not forgetting lunch at the famous Cicerrelo's. To make sure we made good of the day, our itinerary brought us to Cottesloe beach. There, wifey & I treated ourselves to a romantic sunset before heading out to visit a relative staying in Perth. Well, that's how day 08 ended for us :)

59. Fremantle Prison from the Courtyard

4075668852_e7a4d5a37e.jpg

I've been on a tour to Changi Prison a many years back but really, this prison looks rather. . . 'easy' !? Well at least to me.
Hmm.. looks may jolly well deceive I suppose. Heard hardcore convicts were once residents of this prison & that quite a number were sent to the gallows. That perhaps are testaments to the notoriety of its residents & stiff security of this prison. So 'easy' may not be the right word to describe this place after all.

60. Exterior of Fremantle Prison Cells

4074904113_357c9cc361.jpg

Well basically, everything kinda looked the same to me. Other than the rich history & the secret tunnels that this prison hold, I guess nothing did really appeal to me. Perhaps the only interesting thing that I saw in this prison was an aboriginal artwork on one of the walls in the prison cells.

61. One & Only Basketball Hoop in Fremantle Prison

4074924021_a6f5e7918c.jpg

One can only imagine the queue of those who wish to have a game at basketball from a prison community that goes into the thousands. Always stay on the right side of law. :D
