You need to be careful if you purchase things there? Quite a number of shops there have been black listed. Do a bit of checking before you purchase the item.

even authorize dealer also not really reliable?
i m thinking wan to get it at expo it fair or not~
or any recommendation to get a cheaper price at some reliable shop?

I think other than Lord's Photo is now I-Photo, I don't want to try my luck at Luck Plaza.

Who knows?? maybe you could be lucky.

Places to avoid in buying DSLR's are lucky plaza and sim lim....just go those reputable shops listed here.

i dunoe what is the shop name that i went~but i remember the shop is half sony and half nikon~

A most common biat is to use low price to attract customer into their store, once customer is inside the store then they will pull out many other tricks, examples:
1. to buy the low cost camera u must also buy an "unknown" lens together
2. ask u to pay money first then wait 15-30 minutes then they will say your camera is out of stock then offer you something else
3. and many more

Bottom line, dont trust lucky plaza salesman, they have very bad reputation.

I got the shop name aldy. Lucky centxx. Can found in nikon website is a authorize dealer

Authorised dealer does not mean that they will not come up with some gimmicks to get customers ;)
Not saying that the shop is bad but it is still better for u to get from those recommended shops like Cathy Photo, TK Photo, etc.

You should give the reputable shops a chance to quote to you.

Bally is also a Nikon authorised retailer. So is Song Brothers.

When ask for quote, clearly tell the shop to state price with gst.
Confirm what items you want, do not deviate your decision when the shop sales trys to sweet talk that this no good that better. Check goods and ask for break down of items on receipt before payment.
If sales try to sell, just walkout the shop.

1. Always ensure price include GST, ensure no hidden costs like 'service charge'.

2. Always see the actual good and see if they let you inspect the good and test it out thoroughlly before handing over any money

3. inspect the camera and lenses very carefully - the condition and brand etc. Ensure that's the one you buy before handing over any money.

4. Ensure the stock is really there before handing over the money

5. Do homework, get quotes from trusted stores first and avoid falling into the trick of 'introducing you to a new product suddnely' and cheating your money by surprise. Find out whether the shop's been blacklisted

6. do not be tempted by freebies - they don't really cost that much anyway if you buy them separately

7. 'Authorised dealer' does not mean it's SAFE & HONEST

8. watch out if the sales are 'forcing you to make fast decision'

If in doubt just walk away. it will not be your loss

I definately will not shop there prefer to go to the few reputable shops.
;)

How big difference in the price?
If we can pay for insurance, why not pay a small premium from the regular shops and set your mind and heart in peace =)
When buying anything from any shop please do not pay before you inspect your goods!! Check, make sure what you going to pay is what you get, everything is in sight, in good condition, than pay.
Once you smell a fish, leave. As long as you don't pay before you see your stuff, you can leave straight away.
Good luck

Better to pay $100 more at a shop in Funan than to save that amount and later find out that you've been cheated. It happens over and over again at Lucky Plaza. Better not to take the chance for a small savings. There is a reason why so many shops are black listed there.

Screw the shops in lucky plaza ... One can understand its business but nt till over the extend for newbies beware of this *******s salesman hu will do all the talking.... Hope this shops get screw or burn....

Although lucky plaza is generally bad news, I ONLY buy all my supplies from LORDS.
