Lucky Kid, or Spoilt Kid?

I'd say he's a lucky guy now. If he had not born into such a rich family, he wouldn't get a D300. I hope he won't turn into a spoil kid by not making good use of the camera.

What do you guys think of dads buying D300 for a Sec 1 Kid cos he is in a photography club?

its his first DSLR..

its been an hour since i got to know about it, but i am still frankly, quite in shock...

I had seen a sec 1 kid holding a D700 as his birthday present. Also a primary school boy around 7 yrs old using manuel mode on his cam to shoot, check his photos on lcd, adjust n shoot again.

So what should it be? A kid who knows how to handle a DSLR well deserves a DSLR above mid range or a kid who know nuts, got a rich dad n buy him a D3x?

Hard to judge nowadays. Only think u can say is "Why ain't I the smart kid who handles a DSLR well, good @ color n compositions and has a rich dad that can buy me a D3x?" :bsmilie:
